IT’S summer party time and Midgley wasn’t going to be left behind.
The second annual Midgley Fete enjoyed sunshine and a great turnout for a day of traditional entertainment.
The straw bale racing attracted plenty of entrants while the welly wanging competition saw 70 people entering, and children were digging into their pocket money to enter teams in the tug of war.
Elaine Davies, who was part of the organising team, said: “The fete was a tremendous success.
“Everybody’s given fantastic feedback about what was a reall community event.
“We want to thank everyone who helped set up the day and everyone who attended.
