The Heath Stroke Club is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a series of events this year.

The club provides a community based day service for stroke survivors and people with physical disabilities, helping them to live an active and fulfilled life.

An open day was held at their headquarters at the United Reform Church last week, while next month sees the start of a number of sponsored walks along the Calderdale Way by staff and supporters of the club.

There will also be a freestyle dancing event on June 29 at the Siddal Ex-Servicemen’s Club before a party in August for all members of the stroke club past and present.

The year of celebration will ten be rounded off with a black tie event at the Tower House Hotel on November 16.
