Ryburn Valley High School students sampled tastes from around the world in a series of restaurant workshops

Students at Ryburn Valley High school transported their taste buds to an exotic corner of the world with a day of restaurant workshops last week.

Three Sowerby Bridge-based restaurants, including Temujin, The Village and Syhiba cooked up a storm in the classroom with spicy delights.

Sue Dean, a Food and Technology teacher at the Sowerby school, said: “It was a joy to welcome the restaurants into the school, they really went out of their way to offer a five star service and I’m sure the students have been inspired.

“It really helped to extend their knowledge and there was a real buzz on the day.”
