Submit your entries for the RSPCA’s annual photographic competition

The RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield & District Branch are looking for super animal snaps for their annual photographic competition.

There are 18 categories ranging from Sleeping Beauty - any animal sleeping; Catch me if you can for animals in action; Feline Friends for any cat picture; Just a Dog for any dog picture; Watch the Birdie for any bird or poultry picture; the Ahh Factor, any picture which makes you say ahh and Distant Shores, for any animal snapped abroad.

Entries should be no bigger than 7” x 5” and taken by an amateur photographer.

The entry fee is 90 pence per photograph and rosettes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, plus for those photographs highly commended in each class.

The 1st placed photograph in each class will then be judged to find the overall winner, who will be awarded a championship rosette and special prize.

Entries should be received no later than Sunday November 9, 2014.

Entry forms are available from the RSPCA Animal Centre in Wade Street, Halifax, or can be downloaded from www.rspca-halifaxandhuddersfield.org.uk.

All winning photographs will be displayed at the RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield & District Branch Christmas Fair, held at the Maurice Jagger Centre, Halifax, on November 22.

The fair will run between 10.30-2.30pm - it is free to attend and will include stalls, raffles, home produce, christmas cards as well as gifts and refreshments.
