Sun shines on great day out for all the family

The summer holidays got off the to the best possible start with sunshine lighting up Manor Heath Park for a day that was truly scrumptious.

Families were entertained all day with more than 40 attractions at The Big Family Day Out but it was a classic car that got most of the attention.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the world’s most famous flying car, touched down for the event along with the stars of the 1968 film, Heather Ripley and Adrian Hall.

CBeebies presenter Alex Winters entertained the hundreds who made the most of the summer sun plus there was an appeareance from children’s favourite Rastamouse.

Staff from Eureka! brought their own take on children’s entertainment and learnign along with the Horrible histories stageshow.
