Halifax Delivery Office is to pilot Sunday opening from this Sunday, 7 September.
Royal Mail’s network of around 1,400 delivery offices is currently open six days a week. The initiative will extend the opening of around 100 delivery offices with the highest parcels volumes across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to seven days a week.
The sorting office at Gaol Lane, Halifax, will open between noon and 4pm from this Sunday. The move is designed to make it easier for online shoppers not at home during the day to get their parcels.
This is part of an on-going programme by Royal Mail to be more customer responsive and provide more options for people to receive items they have ordered online.
