JIVERS flocked to Mytholmroyd in their droves to get into the swing era.
About 130 people packed into St Michael’s Church hall for the first of a monthly Sunday Swing session.
Organised by HepCats Jive Club, which holds classes in the area, dancers twirled to music from the 1930s, 40s and 50s.
The club’s Trevor Cowland, who performed with his band TC and the Swing Cats, said: “It was absolutely fantastic and a sellout.
“We were really pleased.
“Because we hold classes, I’ve been looking for an opportunity to have a monthly event on a Sunday afternoon.
“It’s open to anyone who’s interested in swing or jive dancing and who likes the music of the 30s, 40s and 50s.”
