Students from St Mary’s Junior and Infant School, Mill Bank, held a choc-tastic event before the Easter holidays by selling chocolate treats and homemade wrist bands at their annual Easter celebrations.

The six pupils raised £115 for the charity Water Aid, which will go towards the cost of building clean water devices in third world countries.

Ten-year-old Eve Forshaw said “Water Aid have helped design new drills that allow wells to be plumbed deeper into the earth’s surface, providing more clean water than traditional hand pumps are able.”
