BALLROOM and Latin American moves were seen on the dance floor of a Halifax arts centre as a tea dance twirled its way into town.

Around 15 dancers aged up to 91 waltzed their way around Square Chapel in Square Road, Halifax.

The session was led by Rastrick company Let’s Dance as part of a Help The Aged event.

Dance teacher Gareth Hemingway said: “It went down really well and we’ve had lots of positive feedback.

“We run lots of classes in the community to try and make dancing more accessible to everybody and not as intimidating.”

Among the couples enjoying the afternoon were David and Marilyn Bruce.
