A TEENAGER was mugged for his mobile phone in Halifax town centre.
The 15-year-old was in The Woolshops between 7.15pm and 7.25pm on Wednesday when he was approached by a man - described as having bad acne and wearing gloves - who demanded he hand over his phone.
The mugger was described as between 19 and 21 years old, white, 6ft tall, skinny, with brown, gingery hair.
He was wearing a tracksuit top and bottoms, trainers and a baseball cap.
Detective Inspector Ashley Hewitt from Calderdale CID said the teenager had been left shaken by the theft and was keen to get his phone back.
“There would have been people in the town centre at that time and I’d urge anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward,” he added.
