A tennis club served up a treat as it welcomed members and guests to the official unveiling of ace new facilities to mark its 50th anniversary.
Cragg Vale Tennis Club held a community celebration to officially open its refurbished clubhouse and newly laid courts.
The open day was the culmination of a major redevelopment project after the club secured £50,000 of Olympic legacy funding from Sport England last summer.
Secretary Emma Parkin said: “We were absolutely delighted with how it went.
“We had over 100 people there, which was a really good turnout.
“All the new facilities, new people and the weather made it perfect.
“We are just hoping to keep the momentum going so more people will join and enjoy it.”
Club president Roger Barker cut the ribbon before people were invited to have a look around the new clubhouse and play on the resurfaced courts.
Now the work has been completed, the club will be offering coaching sessions and hopes the facilities will be well used by the community.
