Dozens of classic cars were on display in Elland at the town’s first ever vintage vehicle event.
A fleet of old favourites parked up in the town centre and visitors revelled in admiring the sleek and shiny cars of yesteryear.
From Rolls Royces and Bentleys to a Corvette and MG Metro, there was plenty for enthusiasts to enjoy.
The day, held on Saturday, was organised by the Elland Community Group, which is working to improve the town for residents and visitors alike.
Spokesperson David McCorie, said: “The day brought in a lot of people, but also created a lot of memories for some of the youngsters.
“There was lots of lads who were goggle-eyed at the cars - it was like a dream for some of them. The classic car owners were a great group, they let people sit in the cars, visitors could talk to them and it was like they were a part of the community.
“One man from Germany was on holiday with his classic car and he was delighted to win a trophy. On the whole it was a great day, it’s all about bringing life back to Elland.”
He added that he hoped the event would grow even bigger and better in the future.
