Lights, camera, action - the search is on to find Brighouse’s next star.
The entries have been coming in for Brighouse Has Talent, a new competition run by our sister paper the Brighouse Echo, and there is still time for you to get involved.
Brighouse Has Talent aims to shine a spotlight on the vast array of talented people in the Brighouse area.
Last year the town got behind young comedian Jack Carroll on his way to the final of Britain’s Got Talent, and now we’re looking for the next act to follow in the talented teenager’s footsteps.
Sponsored by Lattitude7, Bricks4Kidz and Sleigh & Story, and supported by Brighouse Business Initiative, Brighouse Has Talent is open to people of all ages and talents who live, work or go to school in the Brighouse area.
Whether you’re a solo act, a duo, a small group or even a choir of 50, we want you to take part.
Audition days will be held at Bailiff Bridge Community Centre, Victoria Road, on November 6 and 13.
Each of the performers will be filmed performing their routines and the videos posted on the Echo website - www.brighouseecho.co.uk.
The top ten acts, as voted for by readers, will go through to the grand final at Brighouse Civic Hall on December 1, where they will perform in front of a live audience and a panel of judges.
The winner will be crowned the Brighouse Has Talent champion and receive a trophy and a cash prize.
To apply, email your name, age, contact number and a brief description of your act to email@example.com before 5pm on Monday, November 3.
