A successful garden party has raised thousands of pounds for charity.
The Overgate Ladies Garden Party was held in Stainland, Halifax, on May 17 and it raised over £3500 for the Overgate hospice
The event was organised and hosted by Kate Inman who choose to support the hospice because her mother works part time as a volunteer.
Throughout the day there was several balloon releases, where the 130 people that attended could donate £1 and write a message on the balloon.
The garden party started as an idea and grew when a friend of Kate’s generously helped.
Kate said: “A good friend offered his garden with more space so basically it escalated from there.
“The day was one of the hottest days of the year and the reached up to 24 degrees. I would like to say a massive thanks to everyone who donated and spent money on the day.
“I would like to say a special thanks to Laura Golding, Lisa Walker and Bev, Charlie, Becky, Sobii Choudary, Samina Aslam, Michelle McParland, Phoebe Inman, Pippa Buckley, Leanne Neary, Summer McParland, Mark McParland, Jonathan Inman, Linda Crossland, Mary Jowett-Coles and David Cullen.”
