Three Britons killed in Germanwings crash

The UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has confirmed that at least three Britons have been killed in a plane crash in the French Alps yesterday (Tuesday).

A search and recovery operation in underway after a Germanwings plane crashed near to Seyne-les-Alpes with 150 people on board.

The Airbus 320 Flight 4U 9525 was travelling from Barcelona to Dusseldorf when it crashed after an unexplained eight minute descent.

Officials have said there are no survivors.

There is currently no more information about the three Britons on the plane.
