A BRIGHOUSE school returned with a trophy from the 2011 Primary F1 in Schools final held in London.
Chad’s Tigers from St Chad’s CE Primary School, Hove Edge, won the “best team identity award.”
The competition challenges youngsters to design, make and race a miniature compressed air-powered racing car made from balsa wood.
Head teacher Graeme Genty said he was proud of his students who also produced the second fastest car timed at 0.687 seconds along a 20 metre track.
He said the award was given for how the team, which competed with tiger-painted faces, promoted itself and put together the project.
“We had a fantastic day, absolutely brilliant,” he said.
