THERE were toys, toys everywhere as generous people helped make Christmas dreams come true for needy Calderdale families.
Every year the Salvation Army toy appeal asks for donations of games, books and toys.
Despite tough times, people were as generous as ever.
Hundreds of toys were donated and a toy service was held at the Salvation Army, St James’s Road, Halifax.
Mayor of Calderdale Nader Fekri was assisted by his two sons to accept the gifts, which will be given to families this week, ahead of the festive season.
