Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) have released CCTV images of a man they would like to identify after a train guard’s bike was stolen from Huddersfield railway station.
PC Ian Conner, leading the investigation, said: “The train guard, a 45-year-old local man, had left his bike secured in the cycle racks in the station while he undertook his shift on Thursday, August 21.
“Just after 10.15pm, a man entered the station, approached the racks and broke the lock off the victim’s bike, before riding out of the station on it.”
Officers would like to hear from anyone who may recognise the man pictured as it is believed he may have crucial information which would assist officers in their enquiries.
