Forecasters issue warning for heavy rain: morning traffic and weather round-up

A marked contrast to recent days with the weather. Much cooler with persistent and occasionally heavy rain.

Forecasters have issued a warning for heavy rain throughout today and tomorrow. Temperatures are expected to reach 13 degrees.

Visibility is reduced and there is surface water on the M62 between junction 25 at Brighouse and junction 30 at Rothwell in both directions.

A burst water pipe is still causing delays on the A58 Halifax Road in Hipperholme between the A644 Brighouse Road junction and the Kell Lane junction.

Traffic is moving slowly and is heavier than usual on the B6112 Stainland Road northbound in Elland between the Green lane junction and the A6026 Wakefield Road junction.

The A58 Wharf Street in Sowerby Bridge is busy but moving in both directions at the A6139 Tuel Lane junction.

Traffic is moving slowly on the A629 Calderdale Way in both directions in Elland at the A6025 Halifax Road junction.

The A629 Huddersfield Road in Halifax is busy but moving northbound between the A646 Dryclough Lane junction and the Ward’s End junction.

The A629 Cow Green in Halifax is busy but moving in both directions at the Bull Green junction.
