A man has died following a serious road crash in Halifax earlier today.
A 76-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after a collision between a red Volkswagen Polo and blue Audi.
The incident occurred around 11.10am and closed the road between King Cross and Tuel Lane which has now been reopened.
Three further people were injured in the collision and taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital.
Sergeant Carl Quinn of the Major Collision and Enquiry Team MCET said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, in particular anyone who saw the Volkswagen being driven along Burley Road prior to the incident to get in touch on the non emergency number 101.”
