Residents and businesses at Hipperholme will have the opportunity to see the latest plans to improve Hipperholme crossroads at an open day next month.
Calderdale Council’s successful bid to the Department for Transport means that work can now take place to improve the crossroads which should result in reduced journey times to and from Halifax during morning and evening peak travel times.
The Council, together with the Department for Transport’s local pinch point fund is investing £3.4million to reduce journey times between one and seven minutes on the surrounding roads that lead up to Hipperholme Crossroads.
Before detailed designs are created, the Council would like to know the views of residents and businesses in the area and is holding an open day on Thursday, October 3, between 11am and 8pm at Christ Church, Hipperholme. Anyone who can’t attend can email, firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0845 245 7000.
