The busy roundabout between Halifax and Bradford will be closed for resurfacing work next weekend.
Calderdale Council have confirmed that essential carriageway resurfacing is planned for the A6036/A644 Stone Chair roundabout, starting 7pm Friday 10 August and finishing 24:00hrs on Sunday, August 12.
Due to the width and layout of the road, it will be necessary to close the roundabout and its four legs to traffic for the entire duration of the works.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times, vehicular access for residents will be maintained where possible.
Signs will be placed at Queensbury, Hipperholme, Shelf and Stump Cross, advising motorists of alternative routes.
Calderdale Council has apologised in advance for any inconvenience caused by these essential works.
