Motorists have been caught speeding along nine main roads in Calderdale.
Calderdale Council’s speed indication device has highlighted a problem with speed in Illingworth Road, Illingworth, with speeds of 40mph in the direction of Riley Lane. The results were taken on March 2 between 10.45am and 11.45am near to Natty Lane. In the opposite direction the speed was 35mph.
Another highlighted area for speeding was Keighley Road, Illingworth, where the maximum speed was 40mph in both directions.
Both have been suggested for police enforcement.
Rochdale Road, Todmorden, a problem was detected with the maximum speed being 45mph and 2mph slower in the opposite direction.
Another area with a high probability of enforcement by the police is Saddleworth Road, Elland. The maximum speed recorded was 59mph and in the opposite direction it was 48mph.
Further data is needed in Towngate, Clifton, Cragg Road, Mytholmroyd, and Midgley Road, Midgley as well as Boothtown Road, Boothtown, where the maximum speed recorded was 38mph towards Queensbury and 40mph towards Halifax. The results were taken on March 8 between 10am and 11am.
No further action is required in Hopwood Lane, Halifax. The speeds were between 32mph and 27mph.
All the roads are 30mph.
