Two pulled from crash in Halifax

A DRIVER suffered serious head injuries after a night-time crash.

A pair of men were travelling on Shibden Hall Road, Halifax near the junction with The Russets when the driver of the red Peugeot collided with a stone wall at around 10pm on Saturday night.

The car hit the wall a number of times and the pair were pulled to safety by a passer-by before fire crews, police and ambulance arrived.

The road remained closed by police until 4am.

The driver had serious head injuries and was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

One person has been arrested.
