There are just two weeks left to register for the 49th Halifax Long March.
The 13.1 or 26.2 mile overnight sponsored walk starts onEaster Sunday at 10pm from the YMCA at Crossley Street, Halifax, and takes a route through Calderdale.
After starting in 1966 the Halifax Long March has gone on to attract thousands of walkers who have helped to raise over £400,000 for Christian Aid.
The historic march is back on this year after last years cancelled event due to the adverse weather conditions.
Despite the problematic weather, keen volunteers Robert Batty, Hannah Batty, Dale Kilner, and Matthew Normanton decided to take part in their own walk.
Mr Batty said: “I decided that I wanted to go ahead with last year’s walk because the Long March is a special part of my life.”
