The Met Office is warning the region to be prepared - again - for wet and windy weather this weekend.

Forecasters say Friday will be a calmer, sunnier day compared yesterday’s gales and rain which swept across the country.

In Calderdale, police were called after a tree fell in Range Lane, Boothtown, yesterday, and in Lightcliffe, gusts wrenched a large branch off a tree leaving it hanging over Bradford Road.

And the severe weather is set to return this weekend.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Yorkshire - from 9am on Saturday to 9pm on Sunday - with flooding likely in areas saturated with the recent rainfall.

Forecasters say winds could potentially cause damage to buildings and uproot some trees.
