Calderdale can expect the persistent heavy rain to continue this evening with a risk of localised flooding.
The Met Office has issued a warning for the whole of West Yorkshire that the downpours are set to continue as they move slowly northwards from the south, which has already seen some flooding this week.
A statement from the Met Office said: “Persistent rain will continue to move northwards on Sunday turning heavy in places but clearing quite quickly from southern parts.
“Given levels of saturation the public should be aware of a risk of localised flooding.”
This could mean flooding on roads as water makes its way to the River Calder.
As yet there is not a flood warning in place for the river but the Environment Agency is monitoring the situation as the heavy rain returns this evening.
