Police investigating the death of a Bradford woman have released an image (pictured) of a man they want to speak to in connection with the murder.
West Yorkshire police attended an address in Alford Terrace, Bradford, at 3.25am this morning (Monday) following a report of concern for the safety of one of the occupants. Upon arrival, police found the body of a woman at the property.
The body has not yet been formally identified but is believed to be 21-year-old Ridda Zanab.
A post mortem examination is ongoing but the death is being treated as suspicious and a murder investigation has been launched.
Police would like to speak to Danish Irfan, 21, from Bradford, in connection with the ongoing investigation. He is described as an Asian man, between 5foot 9 and 5 foot 10 inches tall, of slim build. His hair is now reported to be shorter than in the picture and his sideburns are more pointed.
Detective Superintendent Mark Ridley said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have seen Mr Irfan or who has information about his whereabouts. Similarly, if Mr Irfan sees or hears this appeal himself, I would ask that he makes contact with us.
“At this time it is believed that he could be anywhere in the UK and may be trying to leave the country. Members of the public are urged not to approach Mr Irfan but to call police immediately if they think they have seen him.”
Anyone who has information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
