UPDATED: Firefighters free man pinned to house by a people carrier in Halifax - he escaped with a broken leg

A man was rushed to hospital after being trapped against a wall by a people carrier.

Firefighters from Halifax Fire Station were called to Heath Lea, in Well Head, Halifax, at 2.55am this morning where the man, thought to be in his 50s, was pinned against the wall by the car.

It is understood the man was trying to push the car when it rolled towards him, trapping him against the wall.

He was taken to hospital where he was found to have a broken leg.

It is thought he or a member of his family alerted emergency services.
