Several schools are shut this morning because of the snow.

Mount Pellon J & I School
Old Town Primary School
Queensbury Secondary School.
The nursery at Ling Bob J, I & N School is closed but the main school is open.
Schools that are open are urging parents and pupils to take care.
Todmorden High School has Tweeted: “Please stick to the cleared gritted paths and wear sensible footwear.”
Brighouse High School say: “School and 6th form are open. Access via main entrance only on FS site.Take care on site. 6th form access road difficult.”
Cornholme J and I says: “Please consider whether you can get here safely. Some surrounding paths are extremely dangerous. Take care if you are walking to school today.”
Rastrick High School says: “School is open at normal time today. Roads are ok but pavements are icy and snowy. Staff and students should go into school by main doors and stay in main building. Car parking availability is less than usual.”
Salterhebble J and I sayd: “School is open. Please take care and only travel if it is safe to do so. Children will enter through the main front door.”
