A total of 19 vehicles were damaged in the streets of Halifax in the early hours of Monday morning.

The incident happened between 12.15am and 1am when the vehicles were damaged and windows broken.

It is believed the person or persons responsible walked along Pellon Lane, Pellon New Road, Stretchgate Lane, Highroad Well and Rye Lane damaging the vehicles. 

Nothing was stolen from any of the cars. 

Inspector Colin Skeath of the Halifax Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:  “We’ve had a large number of reports of criminal damage - and I would appeal to anyone else who has been a victim but not yet come forward to report it to us. 

“We are actively investigating this and would appeal for anyone who witnessed anything to come forward.”
