Sunday won’t be a day of rest this weekend for a group of charity walkers.

A 10-strong group from Keelham Hall farm shop, near Queensbury, will tackle a 29-mile walk from Leeds to Skipton to raise money for the Leeds-Liverpool canal.

The charity was chosen by the shop’s directors, James and Victoria Robertshaw, in memory of their late father Andrew, who set up the business in the early 1970s.

Mr Robertshaw died of a heart attack aged 58. “Dad would have been 70 last week and we are deeply grateful that 10 of our people have taken it upon themselves to undertake this sponsored walk along the canal.

“Twenty-nine miles is no mean feat and we wish them all well,” said Victoria.

More than 300 people, including James, will be taking part in the walk. To donate contact help@ thefarmshop.net
