The Warley Community Association is holding a Victorian Christmas Fair on December 1, from 1.30 pm at Warley Town School.
There will also be a covered outdoor market, and weather permitting, donkey rides until 2.30 pm. Around 4 pm Santa and a town crier will lead a children’s procession to the village centre to switch on the Christmas tree lights and there will be carol singing with St John’s Church Singers. Other attractions at the fair include a Victorian sweetshop, Sant’a grotto, children’s activity centre, teashop with homemade cakes, roast chestnuts and hot potatoes. The Mayor of Calderdale John Hardy is expected to be among the visitors. Admission is free.
