HERE’S a sneak preview of the new-look Calderdale College as the multi-million pound scheme nears completion.

Work is on schedule to be ready in time to welcome new students into the state-of-the-art facilities when they start in September.

The £6.6m scheme has brought £470,000 of business to Calderdale with local suppliers and builders all working to complete the scheme.

Vice principal Denise Cheng-Carter said: “The project has been a valuable learning resource for students, with on-site tours and visits to sub-contractors. Learners will also have opportunities to complete work placements on site.”

The sports hall will include football, cricket practice nets, netball and basketball.

A new entrance and atrium will also be built.
