Children and parents spent two hours playing inside a double-decker London bus as part of an eight-week scheme.

Creations Children’s Centre in Pellon, Halifax, is sending the play bus, which contains ball pools and a soft play gym, to a different street every week for the next two months.

The free-to-use bus will be parked up between 10am and noon every Tuesday.

Early age practitioner Susan Brash said the bus was ideal for children aged one to five: “The first week was a big success. It holds up to 20 children and we hope parents will use the bus and then come to the centre.”

Next week the bus will be in Ashfield Gardens. It will also visit Weatherhouse Terrace (Sept 27), Rye Croft (Oct 4), Paddock Lane (Oct 11) and Moor End Road (Oct 18). For more information, contact the centre on 01422 434006.
