Police in Bradford appeal for help to trace driver

Police in Bradford are trying to trace a man following a serious road traffic collision in Bradford yesterday (Saturday).

Umbar Ali, aged 39, is believed to have been driving a Vauxhall Zafira, which was in collision with an Alfa Romeo travelling in the opposite direction in Queens Road at about 9.28pm on Saturday (23 March).

Mr Ali, who is from the Bradford area, left the scene of the collision at the junction with Valley Road. He has not been seen since.

Two passengers in the Zafira aged four and two, were taken to hospital with serious, but not believed to be life-threatening injuries.

The occupants of the Alfa Romeo, aged 34 and 32, also suffered serious, but not believed to be life-threatening injuries and were also taken to hospital.

Inspector Joanne Field of the Western Area Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are actively trying to locate Mr Ali as he might be needing hospital treatment as a result of this collision, and would ask for him or anyone who knows him to contact the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
