Reader Rob Gudg captured this image of wild poppies in Halifax which he said mark the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
The flowers are located in Horton Street.
The D-Day landings were the first stage of the invasion of Nazi-occupied Europe. By the end of D-Day on June 6, 1944, the Allies had established a foothold in France. The event eventually helped bring the war to an end.
