Police in Halifax are appealing for witnesses to a burglarly of a house in Northowram last Friday afternoon.

At around 1:45pm on November 9, two suspects, believed to have been in a green, 51 plate Renault Megane, smashed two windows of a house on Tan House Lane.

As the suspects were about to enter the property they were disturbed by the owner and fled empty handed. They drove off in the Megane, which was driven off with its boot still open.

A witness has told officers that the car was in the area at around 2pm later that day on Halifax Road, Shelf.

Enquiries are ongoing and witnesses are being asked to contact Laura Thomas at Halifax CID on 01422 337086. In particular officers are keen to speak to a woman who was walking her dog on Landermere Syke at the time of the burglary and could well have seen the suspects making off in the Megane.
