The world number one squash player returned to his former club to help it boost fundraising for a former club member.
James Wilstrop, 29, returned to Halifax Queen’s Club to help raise cash for prostate cancer charities in memory of John Hoad, a keen squash player and former Yorkshire over 55s champion, who died last October.
James signed copies of his new book, ‘Shot and a Ghost’, when the senior team played their final fixture of the Yorkshire Premier League season.
The event was sponsored by Riley and Co, where John worked before he died.
The firm, which has a long accociation with Queens, raised £500.
Angela Riley, a director at the company, said: “Queens is one of the top squash clubs in the world and we as a company are thrilled to be associated with it.”
