Reader Don Nevison sent us these amazing pictures of a family of wrens living in his garden in Quarry Road, Wheatley.

Mr Nevison explained: “In spring my nine-year-old grand daughter Anna put her wet walking boots outside and placed them in a wall vase at the side of the back door, keeping them out of reach of the family labradors.

“A pair of wrens took up residence and successfully reared a brood of six chicks.

“I photographed their progress daily but could only get five in shot at anyone time.”
