Here is your guide to remembrance services across Calderdale.

Bailiff Bridge: Assemble at 10.45am at the memorial garden. A service and wreath laying will be held from 11am.

Councillor Graham Hall (Con, Hipperholme and Lightcliffe) will be in attendance.

Brighouse: A service of remembrance will be held at 2.30pm in St Martin’s Parish Church, followed by a wreath laying service in Ryding Park.

The Mayor of Calderdale Lisa Lambert will be in attendance with her consort.

Blackshaw Head: Act of Remembrance at the Blackshaw Head cenotaph in the chapel burial ground at 10.30 am on Sunday, when the roll-call of the fallen from the local community will be read, the two-minute silence held, and Reveille and Last Post sounded.

This will be followed, for those who wish to stay, by a service of remembrance in the chapel, including poetry readings and reflections on a theme of war and peace.

The chapel will also be open on Armistice Day itself, Wednesday, at 11 am, to keep the two-minute silence at the cenotaph and to light the peace candle in the chapel (meet at 10.55am).

Elland: Assemble at 9.25am at John Street, Elland. A procession will leave for Hullen Edge war memorial. After the service at the memorial, the procession will reform in Hullen Edge Road, where the salute will be taken before proceeding to Southgate Methodist Church for the remembrance service.

Councillor Pat Allen (Lib Dem, Elland) will be in attendance.

At 11am on Remembrance Day on Wednesday, there will be a Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance at Southgate Precinct. The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will be in attendance.

Greetland: A service of remembrance will be held from 12.30pm at the Greetland war memorial, Clay House, West Vale.

Councillor Marilyn Greenwood (Lib Dem, Greetland and Stainland) will be in attendance.

Halifax: Assemble at 10.05 at the town hall. At 10.20am the parade will leave the town hall. The cenotaph service and act of remembrance will take place from 10.45am and the Remembrance Sunday service at Halifax Minster will take place from 11.15am.

The Mayor of Calderdale Lisa Lambert and her consort will be in attendance.

Hebden Bridge: Assemble at 9.45am in St George’s Square, Hebden Bridge. From 10am, the procession will go to the memorial gardens, New Road, and from 10.45am there will be a remembrance service at St James’ Church.

Councillor Ali Miles (Lab, Calder) will be in attendance.

Illingworth and Bradshaw: From 9.45am there will be a remembrance service in St John’s Church, Pavement Lane and a wreath laying ceremony will follow at 11am.

Councillor Barry Collins (Lab, Illingworth and Mixenden) will be in attendance.

Lightcliffe: Service at 12.15pm at the war memorial on The Stray.

Councillor Colin Raistrick (Ind, Hipperholme and Lightcliffe) will be in attendance.

Luddenden Foot: Assemble at Holmes Park war memorial at 1.45pm. The act of remembrance will commence at 2pm.

Councillor Simon Young (Lab, Luddenden Foot) will be in attendance.

Mytholmroyd: Assemble at Elphaborough Close, Cragg Road at 2pm. The procession to the memorial gardens will leave at 2.15pm and at 2.45pm there will be a service of remembrance at St Michael’s Church.

The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Calderdale will be in attendance.

Northowram: From 10.30am there will be a service in St Matthew’s Church, with a wreath laying ceremony within the church from 11am.

Councillor Peter Caffrey (Con, Northowram and Shelf) will be in attendance.

Ovenden and District: Meet at St George’s Church, Lee Mount, at 9.30am. From 10am there will be service and wreath laying ceremony in the church.

Councillor Bryan Smith (Labour, Ovenden) will be in attendance.

Rastrick: Assemble at 9.50am at St Matthew’s Church, Rastrick. The remembrance service will be held from 10am and will followed by a wreath laying ceremony in the cenotaph.

Councillor Ann McAllister (Con, Rastrick) will be in attendance.

A service will also be held at St John the Divine from 10am.

Rishworth and Ripponden: Assemble at 9am at the Rishworth war memorial for a service at 9.15am. The procession will move to Ripponden for a service at the war memorial at 10.10am.

A service will then be held at St Bartholomew’s Church at 10.30am.

At 12 noon, asemble outside the church gates at Christ Church, Barkisland. The procession will then move to the war memorial at Saddleworth Road for a service of remembrance at 12.15pm.

Councillor Geraldine Carter (Con, Ryburn) will be in attendance.

Shelf: Assemble at 10.40am at the Interface car park, before a parade to the memorial gardens. At 10.45am there will be short service and wreath laying ceremony, before a service at Bethel Chapel.

The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Calderdale will be in attendance.

Siddal: Meet at St Mark’s Church, for a service of remembrance at 11am. A wreath laying ceremony will be held after the service the war memorial.

Councillor Megan Swift (Lab, Town) will be in attendance.

Southowram: Meet at 10.50am at the war memorial at Pinnar Lane for the service and wreath laying at 11am.

Councillor Bob Metcalfe (Lab, Town) will be in attendance.

Sowerby Bridge: Assemble at 10.15am at Bairstow Mount. The parade will leave for a 10.50am service at the memorial gates, Crow Wood Park.

Councillor Adam Wilkinson (Lab, Sowerby Bridge) will be in attendance.

Stainland: Meet at 2.50pm at the war memorial for the service of remembrance.

Councillor Malcolm James (Lib Dem, Greetland and Stainland) will be in attendance.

Todmorden: Assemble at 10.15am in Stansfield Road. From 10.40am there will be a parade to the remembrance gardens for a wreath laying ceremony and service at 11am.

Councillor Steve Sweeney (Lab, Todmorden) will be in attendance.

Queensbury: Parade assembles at Scout HQ, Albert Crescent (car parking will not be allowed on Albert Crescent or Sharkett Head Close Please use car parking as directed by the marshals at the MOT station to the opposite side of Albert Road) at 10.30am.

Parade moves off at 10.45 for the wreath laying ceremony at the Cenotaph at 10.55am.

At 11.10am, the parade will move to Holy Trinity Church for a service of remembrance.

Parade back to Scout Headquarters to disperse.

Wyke/Low Moor: Meet at the Cenotaph on Cleckheaton Road at 12.30pm where there will be a short service and wreath laying ceremony.

Wadsworth is expected to observe remembrance events at the Smeekin Hill memorial and memorial garden near the Robin Hood at Pecket Well.
