I have today been to the refurbished public tip in Halifax. I am absolutely amazed the YTS lad who designed the layout was not better supervised.
Vehicles entering the site are immediately confronted by stationary cars at a recycling point and are not sure if they can pass as a bend obscures their view.
Once up on the higher level do you wait and move forward slowly until level with the skip required?
Or do you move out into the exit lane and hope to find a space further on? If no space is available you’re left blocking the exit lane.
Finally, why, when the opportunity was there, weren’t the skips situated slightly lower so enabling pensioners to load up more easily?
