Many of your readers will have noticed that baking has made a surprise comeback in recent years with hit TV shows such as Baking Made Easy and the Great British Bake Off inspiring the nation to dust off their aprons.
But baking doesn’t just have to be about beating eggs and flour- now people can get baking to beat multiple sclerosis (MS). An estimated 200 people in Halifax have MS however there’s currently no cure and few effective treatments available.
The MS Society’s annual fundraising event Cake Break is getting ready to sweep the nation during MS Week (30 April-6 May).
It’s a great way to enjoy cake guilt-free as you’re raising vital funds to support people locally affected by the condition.
Everyone can take part, it can take place anywhere people like, and it can happen any time that suits - even though the official date is Friday 4 May.
All funds raised from Cake Break will allow the MS Society Halifax & Calder Valley branch to continue to offer advice and support to people locally affected by MS.
So, get baking to beat MS by requesting a free host pack, jam-packed with top tips and recipe ideas, by calling 0845 481 1577 or at www.mssociety.org.uk/cakebreak.
