Letter: Dog fouling on path a disgrace

I am writing this letter, and it is not a nice one, about the persistent dog fouling of the footpath from the end of East View, Cragg Road right down to the centre of Mytholmroyd '“ it is an absolute disgrace and needs urgent attention from the local authorities.

Also, when are all the footpaths, streets and by-ways going to be cleaned? Has no-one got any common sense or pride?

Outside the bus stop at the Dusty Miller it resembles a bomb site and the entrance to the Dusty Miller is a muck hole.

Another point I need to mention is parking of vehicles on the actual footpath all the way down from Elphin Court to Elphin Bank. There should be a yellow line all the way down as cars park on both sides of the road. This does not mean they should nearly park the full width of the footpath.

An accident is waiting to happen, God forbid.

When you walk on the footpath you should be able to do so and not have to manoeuvre around vehicles. Access to pedestrians, wheelchair users and those pushing prams is totally restricted.

And the last thing to mention is – whoever designed the footpath around the Shoulder of Mutton wants their head looking at.

They have a great disregard to the public.
