Letter: Paramedics get priority service

On Friday we had a paramedic in the Roast and Radish sandwich shop. As all our customers do, they waited politely to be served.

As the paramedic finally placed their order the driver who was sat in the ambulance suddenly put the blues on, sounded the siren and shouted: “Call! A child not breathing.” His colleague in the shop apologised for having to abandon his lunch (not needed), left his half prepared sandwich and sped off to save a child’s life.

Firstly, these people are amazing.

Secondly, as a result all paramedics will now receive priority service in our shop by jumping the queue (sorry to any customers waiting). This way at least they have half a chance of getting food and drinks while doing a fabulous job.

Support our paramedics and emergency services.
