I refer to the article “Plans for impressive new complex are scrapped”, Courier, May 5.
I voice my opinion that the artist’s drawing does not fill me with enthusiasm, but rather leads me to heave a sigh of relief that our town of Halifax won’t be lumbered with what looks like a glorified shed.
Please don’t let developers turn our town into Shedtown. There are some good modern buildings in Halifax, two of them being Northgate House and the Central Library. Surely these two buildings could be adapted for other uses if need be, but please don’t let Halifax be spoiled by uncaring developers.
