Letter: Questions for council leader
Through your pages I should like to ask the leader of Calderdale Council to explain to the public why he has overseen a massive £2 million underspend on roads in Calderdale over the last twelve months.
When does he intend to get all roads brought up to standard, potholes, line marking, and lights including belisha beacons at pedestrian crossings (for example Warley Road Primary School)?
Having wasted £1.2 million on an unenforceable 20mph speed restriction, perhaps we need, deserve, joined up thinking.
