Oh dear oh dear what is the world coming to when a person is denied the use of a toilet then fined for having no other choice but to relieve himself outside?
The police station is quite a distance from any public toilets so there was no option for the person concerned.
Where is the rule that says staff cannot use human decency and discretion to allow a person inside the police station either on business or accompanying a friend to use the toilet ?
Many of us will understand sometimes there is an urgency which offers no alternative to the action the gentleman took.
I hope that the lady writing in the courier Wed 14th march never has to suffer such an indignity.
Surely the police station of all places is where people should expect to be treated with understanding and civility.
