Street is a popular car park

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but there seems to be a new car park that has appeared in the area of Wakefield Road for the workers of Lloyds.

I’m referring to Washer Lane. How long is it going to be before they are so far parked up the road that they will be parking in Pye Nest?

It started off as one or two cars at the bottom and now its all the way up the road and round the corner!

This road is well used and hard enough to navigate at the best of times without the added worry of cars parked all over.

It’s only a matter of time before there is an accident here, if there hasnt already been.

So if you are a user of Washer Lane, please allow an extra ten minutes on your journey time to allow for this.

I pity the residents as well, they must be getting a bit miffed by now if I am.

It happens close to me too, Clover Hill Terrace is a popular ‘car park’ for the workers at Trinity Road, sometimes I can’t get out of my road for cars coming and going or parked all over.

It’s a popular cut through, park up, walk down the cat steps and they arrive at work. One suggestion would be double yellows, another is that the big fat cats at the top take a cut in wage and pay for their staff to have adequate parking, but somehow I think that it won’t be the latter!
