Tories opposed to parks charges

Brier Hey Lane

I fully agree with the comments of Samuel Stafford in Your say, May 9, complaining about the increase in car parking charges and the effect not only on families’ budgets but also on the adverse effect it has on them not being able to engage in social and community enjoyment.

I must remind your readers that these increases were imposed by the LibDem/Labour administration.

The Conservative councillors voted against these increases because, if the Conservatives had been in control, savings would have been achieved by more efficient management of the Councils finances.
